The USA supports Albania on its path toward integration into the EU. This assurance was given last night to Prime Minister Sali Berisha during the meeting he held with the US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, as part of a week-long visit to the USA. Secretary Clinton emphasized that Albania remains a strong partner of the USA, while praising relations between the two countries as very good. “It is an honor to welcome the Prime Minister of Albania today. Albania has been a strong partner of the USA in the mission in Afghanistan. We have a very broad and deep relationship. With Prime Minister Berisha we will discuss a number of bilateral issues,” Mrs. Clinton stressed. For his part, the head of the Albanian government described Mrs. Clinton as a great friend of Albania and emphasized that he would convince her to visit Albania in the context of the 100th anniversary ...
