Prime Minister Sali Berisha, after closing yesterday the negotiations with the PD allies, Ilir Meta of LSI, Fatmir Mediu of PR and Shpëtim Idrizi of PDIU, emphasized however that the consensual selection of the new head of state would also require the will of the Socialist Party. But when asked about the invitation that the Socialist leader, Edi Rama, had made to him for a meeting on this issue, Berisha made it clear that such a meeting would not take place.
