The “map” of gruesome executions stretches from the north to the south of our country, while the motives for the crimes are different: property disputes, blood feuds, settling scores on behalf of various trafficking networks, and even gang fights. The latest killing was recorded yesterday afternoon, in the village of Gjashtë in the Sarandë district. A bar owner was riddled by a burst of Kalashnikov bullets, while two fellow villagers, who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, were seriously injured. Official sources from the local police say that the 45-year-old Ardian Beqiri was shot dead by a man from Delvina, who has been declared wanted. Although Beqiri was the target of the attack, in this serious incident the 32-year-old Ferdinand Zhango and the 21-year-old Orest Zylfaj were also injured.
