Gjatë viteve të fundit të jetës, ai u bë promotor i gjithë lëvizjeve të forcave shqiptare kundër pushtuesve, duke qenë figurë qendrore në rininë e asaj kohe. Duke pasur një kredibilitet të tillë, ati ju desh të ishte i survejuar përditë e më shumë nga forcat fashiste, por dhe nga bashkëpunëtorët e tyre. ... Dossier by Fatos Veliu/ The 80-year-old’s account: Wounded, he had given up the ghost alone “I found Qemal Stafa abandoned in a ditch” Orhan Jegeni: On the morning of 5 May, with the other children we went in to steal apricots The life and activity of Qemal Stafa continue even today to remain told through mysteries, which cast many doubts on this figure. Although he died at the age of 21, he left deep traces in people’s minds, because of his activity. Qemal Stafa was killed on 5 May 1942, in the city of Tirana. He was one of the leaders of the Communist Party and had also taken part in its founding meeting. During the last years of his life, he became a promoter of all the movements of the Albanian forces against the occupiers, being a central figure among the youth of that time.
