That days, weeks, months earlier it had become clear that the Albanian officials after the 2000s were afraid of Vlora. Ahmet Zogu was equally afraid of it while alive. Ironically, he and Berisha both avoided Vlora.
The king, almost self-proclaimed of the Albanians, nevertheless took a great act in 1932, when he brought the remains of Ismail Qemali to rest in Vlora. Five years later, everything was put ‘in order’, when all the celebrations were moved to Tirana. 70 years later...
