“I was terrified, I saved myself, I hid in a small room inside the school.” This is the account of 9-year-old Venesa Bajraliu, told through her brother for “GSH,” about yesterday’s massacre in the USA in which 20 children were killed. 28 people lost their lives in an elementary school in Connecticut after a 24-year-old fired a barrage of shots at the school’s pupils, where his mother (also a victim) taught. Mërgim Bajraliu is 17 years old and was also a student at that school. At the moment of the rampage he was at home with his mother, just a few meters from the school. After hearing the shots, they immediately ran to his younger sister, 9-year-old Venesa. “I was among the first people who got there, even though the shots were still continuing.
