The wound was fatal because it hit him in the eye area, passing straight through his skull. The perpetrator was careful, as he remembered to remove the cartridge casing from the scene, eliminating an important element from the crime scene. At first, it was thought that the victim had been executed with a shotgun, but this version was then cast into doubt after experts said the killing may have been carried out with a pistol fitted with a silencer. According to the police, the perpetrator was accompanied by another person and both, after the murder, fled through the alleyways crossing that area.
