Albania will be “fortified” at the end of this month because the Olympic Games are starting in London. The State Police has drafted an enhanced measures plan, under which diplomatic missions in the country will mainly be placed under “siege”, and there will also be strict checks at “Mother Teresa” International Airport, mainly for people traveling to Great Britain, as well as to other European countries. Such a plan has been drawn up because of a possible risk of terrorist acts in London during the Olympics, as well as in other states that have signed the strategy and are part of the Anti-terrorism Coalition, including our country. The head of the State Police, Hysni Burgaj, confirmed to “GSH” the fact that security measures will be increased, but was very reserved regarding details. “There will be an increase in measures...
