A member of the leadership of the Socialist Party and, at the same time, deputy head of its parliamentary group, Saimir Tahiri described Edi Rama’s proposal to expel Kastriot Islami as “late”. Invited on the program “Zonë e lirë” by journalist Arian Çani, he said two days earlier that this should have happened sooner. According to Tahiri, Islami had already excluded himself from the PS parliamentary group because he broke the political decision to take part in the vote against Bujar Leskaj’s candidacy, proposed by President Bamir Topi, for the post of head of the High State Audit. “I won’t waste even a minute. A decision of the parliamentary group has been broken. He excluded himself. And if you want my personal opinion, this should have happened earlier,” Tahiri said briefly. PS chairman Edi Rama proposed yesterday, in the PS leadership, the expulsion of Kastriot Islami from the parliamentary group. ...
