Gaçi and Xhuvani vote for their colleagues At least 22 MPs are found to have received money in violation of the law for a parliamentary activity they did not carry out. The movement “Mjaft!” yesterday published the report on the period 1 March – 30 April regarding the monitoring of the work of the Assembly, in which it stands out that 12 socialist lawmakers and 10 democrats were paid for attending committee meetings on days when they were not present. Under the law “On the status of the deputy”, the MP’s monthly salary includes 40% of the salary for participation in plenary sessions, 50% of the salary for participation in meetings of the Assembly committees, as well as 10% of the salary for participation in other parliamentary activities. Special attention in the “Mjaft!” report is also given to the violations observed during the voting process in plenary session. For the period 1 March – 30 April, only two MPs have been identified who, contrary to the Assembly rules, voted for the colleague next to them. They are Artan Gaçi and Luiza Xhuvani, ...
