Bamir Topi does not see his return to politics as a new emotion, but as a mission, while seeing political rotation as a necessity. Invited last night on “Tonight”, Mr. Topi replied to Prime Minister Berisha’s accusations of corrupt dealings involving the transfers of judges and prosecutors. According to him, these are serious smoke bombs that will come back like a boomerang. Mr. Topi accused the Democratic Party of being a party of one man, closed and with no room at all, while for the first time he declared that Mr. Berisha seated him in the prime minister’s chair as one who had been voted in the 2009 elections.
Mr. Topi, were you so quick to break up the attack against you at the head of the FRD?
I do not believe I am an amateur in politics. I know the political terrain well, I know the actors and for me it is nothing new. I believe we are at that moment when someone who is in a position is losing it, and someone who is not in that position is thinking of winning it. So it is simply a clash of interests and Albanians are already used to it...
