Prime Minister Sali Berisha, after concluding the two negotiations with the allies of PD, Ilir Meta of LSI, Fatmir Mediu of PR and Shpëtim Idrizi of PDIU, emphasized however that to elect the new head of state by consensus, the will of the Socialist Party will also be needed. But when asked about the invitation that the Socialist leader, Edi Rama, had made for a meeting on this issue, Berisha made it clear that such a meeting would not take place.
