Dismantling will be completed within two years By VALENTINA MADANI The Minister of Defense, Arben Imami, yesterday announced a far-reaching reform in the Albanian Armed Forces. He signaled the departure from duty of 800 military personnel, who according to him will be replaced with other missions. Minister Imami made this statement yesterday during the one-year defense review. “Whoever goes out will leave, whoever needs to come, let them come. Their reduction will be 800, but with this capacity that will be released we will fill the personnel for other missions,” Imami declared. He pointed out that the new structure of the Armed Forces is now ready. “This review has focused on reducing the large number of personnel, eliminating parasitic structures and thereby simultaneously increasing the basic operational formations.
