The prosecutor was found in violation by Ina Rama, and now he may return to office By KLODIANA LALA The Supreme Court “overturns” President of the Republic Bamir Topi. Yesterday, a civil panel of this court annulled the decree of the head of state, deeming it absolutely void, dismissing from office the prosecutor of Laç, Tom Deda. This decision opens the green light for Tom Deda to possibly return to the prosecution service. The dismissal of the representative of the prosecution in Kurbin, Tom Deda, was carried out in 2009, after an inspection the prosecution conducted of the prosecution office for the 2006-2008 period. During this inspection, numerous violations committed by the prosecutor were established and for this reason the chief prosecutor Ina Rama proposed to the President of the Republic the dismissal from office of Tom Deda. Considering the dismissal to be an unmotivated decision, Tom Deda appealed to the Court of Appeal. He lost the first ‘battle’ against justice. But yesterday the supreme court decided to give him...
