The Supreme Court ‘overturns’ President of the Republic Bamir Topi. Yesterday, a civil panel of this court annulled the decree of the head of state, deeming absolutely invalid the dismissal from office of Laç prosecutor Tom Deda. This decision opens the green light for Tom Deda’s possible return to the prosecutor’s office. The dismissal of the representative of the prosecution in Kurbin, Tom Deda, was made in 2009, after an inspection carried out by the prosecution into the prosecution service for the period 2006-2008. During this inspection, numerous violations committed by the prosecutor were identified and, for this reason, chief prosecutor Ina Rama proposed to the President of the Republic that prosecutor Deda be dismissed from office.
