Head of the Corporation: Maximum imports, we guarantee uninterrupted supply By LORENC RABETA Although this has not been felt by the end consumer, when it comes to electricity supply, production levels in hydroelectric plants have been significantly affected by the long lack of rainfall throughout this year. For Engjëll Zeqo, the director of the Energy Corporation, the situation appears very difficult despite the reduction in domestic production applied since the beginning of this year. The number of units of KESH, he further explains, has seen import quotas of electricity from the foreign market increased in recent months to offset the decline in domestic production. According to him, so far the imports have been fully covered by the corporation’s funds. He also emphasizes that the end consumer will not face supply shortages even if the drought continues further, since KESH will keep importing large amounts of electricity, this time financed by commercial banks...
