REXHEP QOSJA REJECTED

PS councillor: Political act By FATMIRA NIKOLLI Academician Rexhep Qosja has been “rejected” for the title “Honorary Citizen” in Tropoja, even though two official decisions had previously been taken for this recognition. “GSH” has two documents that shed light on the event that took place in the Tropoja Municipality of the northern town. After the municipal council, by majority vote, had managed to award the well-known academic the title, it was chairman Ram Kortoçi who blocked it. The two documents we are publishing show, one, the decision made to honor the well-known professor and the other, the annulment of the first. But what actually happened? On the proposal of a group of councillors, Tropoja Municipality, by decision no. 70, dated 7.11.2012, had decided to grant academic Rexhep Qosja the title: “Honorary Citizen”, as a dedicated scholar, a writer with a rich cultural and patriotic activity, and a well-known activist for the national cause.
