Military plants, where the production or dismantling of combat munitions is currently carried out, have been permanently removed from the list of facilities of special importance. The Council of Ministers decided yesterday to fully revoke Law No. 264, dated 14.6.1997, which obliged the Ministry of Defense to guard these buildings with special military police units. According to the head of the Legal Directorate at the Ministry of Defense, Rezart Tërshana, guarding these military plants with Armed Forces personnel is no longer necessary. Contacted yesterday by “Gazeta Shqiptare”, he argued that “the law revoked by the government was approved in 1997 because of the unrest.
