In a statement, the embassy said: “It welcomes the newly selected ministers of the Alliance for a European Albania cabinet and positively notes the appointment of a greater number of ministers and their proposed assignment to key ministries.” “The inclusion of women ministers reflects a positive step toward greater gender equality within Albania’s political leadership,” says the message from the US Embassy in Tirana. Further in its reaction, the US Embassy “looks forward to working with the future Council of Ministers, many of whom have professional and educational experience in the United States, in implementing their reform ambitions, in order to achieve Albania’s goals for greater Euro-Atlantic integration.” “We also look forward to continuing close cooperation with all the parties represented in the Parliament of Albania,” concludes the message from the US diplomatic mission in Tirana.
