Table, scheme of the compensation amount By LORENC RABETA The comical rush of people who wanted to apply at the AKKP to receive financial compensation for their properties is in no way proportionate to the fund made available for this purpose. While the number of applicants is expected to be around 1,500, only 30-40 of the owners will be able to receive financial compensation from the limited fund of 300 million lek (approximately 3 million dollars). It is worth noting that last year, when the government had made the same amount available, only 33 owners received financial compensation. According to AKKP, this year as well the number of owners who will benefit from compensation will be more or less the same, while the fund will be distributed within three months. Compensation will be made for land property, based on the price determined in the value map, approved according to the location of the property being compensated. Continues on page 8
