The deputy chairman of the Republican Party, Neritan Alibali, proposes that all opposition parties merge into a single party and have one parliamentary group, because, according to him, only in this way will the right win the next local elections of 2005. Mr. Alibali says it does not matter whether the new right-wing party will be called “Democratic” or “Republican”; what matters is that the right have only one parliamentary group.
