The Court of Appeal “overturns” the examination report of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the evidence on which the prosecution had relied to prove suspicions that Ndrea Prendi, former commander of the Republican Guard, executed demonstrator Faik Myrtaj with his pistol. According to the three-judge panel led by Artan Broci, with members Gjin Gjoni and Edmond Gogo, there was a deficiency in the manner in which the FBI experts were appointed by the Albanian prosecution. “Report-Examination” no. 163G-SP-215, dated 05.01.2012, from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Laboratory, was prepared and signed by Examiner (expert) Douglas P.
