The wiretaps uncovered the criminal group that counterfeited euros and distributed them on the market. After the first alerts from people who had fallen into the young men’s trap, the prosecutor’s office decided to infiltrate a police agent nicknamed “Geri”, in order to secure evidence and facts of guilt against those involved. The prosecutor’s file lays out the entire scheme of how Stefano Gjone, Çezar Hajdari, Besjan Çiçi, Klodjan Çeka and Fatjon Qatipi worked together to produce counterfeit euros. The investigation into the criminal group lasted nearly three months and was led by prosecutor Ramadan Troci.
