The reduction is being made in the name of increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of human resources, which according to the government will lower personnel spending to 5% of GDP, from 5.1% in 2013. In this way, the total number of employees in the public sector for 2013 will reach 87,710 employees, down from 88,640 employees in 2012. Meanwhile, it seems that the Ministry of Defence will be the most affected by this reform. The reform plan and the reduction of personnel expenses in the administration has been made public in the Economic and Fiscal Program of Albania, for the 2013-2015 period, already approved...
