The decision was taken after a request signed by the head of the PD parliamentary group, Astrit Patozi, who asked the Speaker of Parliament, Jozefina Topalli, to begin without delay the procedures for replacing the LSI member on the CEC, in order to respect the political balance in this institution because of LSI’s move into opposition. For its part, the CEC itself still has no official decision on replacing the LSI member with the PR member. Based on the 2009 result, PR is currently the second most important party in the right-wing camp after the Democratic Party.
