The imams of Tirana’s mosques blame the Muslim Community of Albania (KMSH) for this ‘war’ being waged against its construction. According to the imam of the Lapraka mosque, Neki Kaloshi, the official leaders of Islam must take the mosque and its construction seriously and remove it from the political games of these 20 years. In his view, this issue has not been treated seriously by the community leaders, because if it had been, according to Imam Kaloshi, Muslims, who make up more than 60% of the population, would have a dignified mosque to be proud of. The construction of Tirana’s big mosque is being put back into discussion, he said; how do you see this problem?
