There can be no religious harmony when people of other faiths attack the Orthodox Church.” This is what the Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and all Albania, Anastas Janullatos, declared during the last mass held in the “Ringjallja” church. According to the archbishop, there is a long list of names of those who attack the Church, using the most varied methods. During the years of great persecution there was a specific method, which aimed to make life outside the church seem degrading and ridiculous. It was the attempt to portray priests as immoral people, or as unpatriotic, as those were in fact who destroyed Albania and left it at the edge of Europe in many respects.
