A new super-directorate is created for the fight against corruption By VALENTINA MADANI Many of the current administration employees working at the Prime Minister’s Office risk losing their jobs because the new head of the executive, Edi Rama, will merge several directorates at the government headquarters. Artur Metani, a jurist by profession and former adviser to former presidents Alfred Moisiu and Bamir Topi, will lead three directorates into one, or what Rama has announced as the National Investigation Bureau. The directorates that will be merged are those of: strategy coordination and foreign aid coordination, which has been led by Valbona Kuko and has 7 employees in its structure. Sources close to the Prime Minister’s Office say that the internal control and anti-corruption directorate will also be merged; it had been led until his resignation by Ivi Kaso and 7 inspectors.
