The ODIHR long-term observation mission
makes it clear to the Albanian
political class that they will be
observers of the elections and not
arbiters of the electoral process.
The ODIHR international long-term
observation team officially launched
yesterday its mission in Albania to
monitor the parliamentary elections
of 23 June.
The team is led by American expert Conny
McCormack, who today presented in Tirana the work of the
mission for monitoring the elections in our country. At a press
conference, she made it clear that the aim of the work is
observation based on the principles of impartiality, emphasizing
the fact that they are not election arbiters.
