Bamir Topi: It makes no sense for parliament to meet only for the “3 laws” and not for the CEC The US Ambassador in Tirana, Alexander Arvizu, hopes that the political parties will make use of the opportunity for Parliament to meet on Monday, whether to vote on the three laws or address the situation in the CEC. “Today is the first day of the campaign, but apparently it has already begun. We have been very clear about the US position, regarding a solution for the CEC. I have heard that a session will be held in Parliament on Monday. So that is a good opportunity both for the three laws and for the constitution of the CEC, and I hope the parties will take advantage of this opportunity,” the ambassador told journalists, while he had a message for the first day of the election campaign. Arvizu made these statements after a visit to the Constitutional Court, where he met the head of this institution, Bashkim Dedja. Two days earlier, Ambassador Arvizu described the CEC issue as very problematic. He said the parties should have discussed it.
