Sales continue in Korçë, Shkodër and Kavajë By LORENC RABETA During the past few weeks, the Council of Ministers has transferred to residents’ ownership a considerable number of facilities inside former workshops and industrial complexes, which are practically used for housing purposes. The director of the National Housing Agency, Ylli Piro, explains to “Gazeta Shqiptare” why there was a need to privatize these facilities, as well as the steps citizens must follow to obtain the ownership titles. According to the head of the NHA, the need to transfer ownership of these facilities arose because for years they had been diverted from their intended purpose and used by families as housing units. In this way, he says, a social problem is being solved, while at the same time a considerable number of facilities that had so far remained informal are being formalized.
