I told him, “get up, let’s go to the hospital...” It was one of the hardest moments for Idrina, who had been living with Edmond Dervishi for 7 years; he was killed with 9 bullets on Sunday evening in the capital. The 30-year-old woman was the first person to find the body of the 50-year-old, riddled with bullets. In an account for “Gazeta Shqiptare”, Idrina describes how she experienced the moment when, on the first floor of the apartment building, she found the body of the man she loved. “I called several times... I cried for help, then I fainted,” Idrina says. She, together with the other family members of Edmond Dervishi, is asking the Albanian justice system only to uncover the case and punish the perpetrators. “Justice” is the word the 50-year-old’s father is asking for, and everyone else wants the same. Where were you on the day the killing happened? We were at the beach that day with Edi. We came back late in the afternoon. We went to Edit’s parents’ house and stayed there for a while.
