The elected prime minister, Edi Rama, yesterday published the new structure of the government cabinet, with 16 ministries, one deputy prime minister who will not hold any other ministerial post, as well as 3 state ministers without portfolio. After broad consultations, not only with the main ally, the head of the LSI, Ilir Meta, but also with models from foreign governments, Rama said yesterday before the media: “it is a structure that has been built on the basis of a detailed analysis of the existing structure and of all the branches of the existing structure, which in our view constitute a very parasitic body within it and require drastic reduction”. According to him, “the new governing structure has been built on the basis of priorities, but also of some very important needs that this country has”.
