Table, compensation amount scheme By LORENC RABETA The 206 people who are seeking to apply to the AKKP in order to benefit from financial compensation for their properties are in no way proportionate to the fund made available for this purpose. While the number of applicants is expected to be around 1,500, only 30-40 owners will be able to receive financial compensation from the limited fund of 300 million lek (approximately 3 million dollars). It is worth noting that last year, when the government had made the same amount available, only 33 owners received financial compensation. According to the AKKP, this year as well the number of owners who will benefit from compensation will be more or less the same, while the fund will be distributed within three months. Compensation will be made for land-type property, on the basis of the price determined in the value map, approved according to the location of the property being compensated. Continues on page 8
