Fatmira Hajdari, the widow of the former Democratic Party MP who was executed on the evening of 12 September 1998, a few meters from the headquarters of the party he founded, describes the tribute being paid to him on the 15th anniversary of his death as a “resurrection” of Azem Hajdari. The Court of Appeal judge does not hesitate to say that Azem Hajdari should have been buried as a Martyr on the day he was killed, but according to her it is never too late to recognize the values and contributions of a man, especially of the Leader of December. Asked whether left-wing figures will be present at the ceremony, Mrs. Hajdari says that many important figures within the left know and appreciate Azem Hajdari’s contribution.
