Selami Xhepa: Funding that is not essential should be reduced By DARINA TANUSHI The new “Rama” government has decided to cut by around 165 million lek the transport expenses for MPs, deputy ministers and some of the commissions and bodies that operate in Albania. The draft law prepared by the government, published by “Vizion Plus”, makes it clear that from 45 thousand lek that these expenses were for the category of MPs, now only 40 thousand new lek will be granted for transport expenses for those on the move. Meanwhile, a large category including deputy ministers, the deputy chairman of the KLD, and also heads of institutions and authorities that operate in Albania, from 35 thousand new lek for trans- port expenses, will now receive only 20 thousand lek. This draft law does not refer to ministers, nor to the Speaker of Parliament, nor to the head of the State In- telligence Service.
