Balla: The Prime Minister’s son has received 200 thousand euros a year as a middleman The amendments to the law “On the status of the blind” and “On the status of paraplegic and tetraplegic invalids” split the majority yesterday. They received 66 votes in favor, 62 against and 3 abstentions respectively. The three deputies who abstained belong to the Socialist Movement for Integration, specifically Nasip Naço, deputy chairman of the Economy Commission, Vangjel Tavo, deputy speaker of Parliament, as well as the head of this party’s parliamentary group, Lefter Koka. Meanwhile the head of the LSI, Ilir Meta, was not present in the chamber. The Socialist Party’s votes against were yesterday “joined” by right-wing MP Gazmend Oketa, now departed from the PD group, as well as the lawmaker backed by the PS, Kastriot Islami. At the start of the parliamentary session, the head of the socialist parliamentary group, Gramoz Ruçi, asked that these laws be discussed first, referring to a request from the blind and paraplegic people who were protesting ...
