The new Prime Minister’s first visit to Brussels By DARINA TANUSHI The new Prime Minister, Edi Rama, promised Albanians yesterday from the steps of the Prime Minister’s Office that the government he leads will serve them and will not snatch from them. Meanwhile, at the first meeting after the swearing-in, the “Rama” government also took its first 3 decisions. One of them is the removal of President Nishani’s photo from all state offices and the placing there of Ismail Qemali’s photo. Another decision is the ban on importing waste, and the last is the approval of the Ministers’ Code of Ethics. Meanwhile, after walking on foot together with all the ministers of his cabinet from the Presidency headquarters to the Prime Minister’s Office, where a large crowd of people, supporters of the Socialist Party, was waiting for him, Rama gave his first speech after the swearing-in. Along the way, Rama and the ministers exchanged jokes and, smiling, greeted the people, journalists and cameramen who accompanied their procession. Continues on pages 2-5
