The government is expropriating the owners of buildings on the Vlora coast; they will receive 56 thousand lek per m2 By LORENC RABETA The financial compensation fund of 300 million lek (around 3 million dollars) for former owners will be distributed by December 20. According to the Agency for the Restitution and Compensation of Property, the review of 1,100 applications has already been completed, while in the coming days the list of owners who will benefit from this fund will also be made public. The problem is that this quota is very low compared with the number of former owners waiting to be compensated financially. While the number of applicants per year has been around 1,500, only 30-40 owners will be able to benefit from financial compensation from the limited fund of 300 million lek. Applications for this fund were submitted to the AKKP during the month of August. Through a decision, the Council of Ministers has also set the conditions that interested parties must meet in order to benefit from this fund.
