PD: Theatrical staging, smoke screen to raise taxes, pressure on businesses By KLODIANA LALA For more than three hours, the Prefect of Vlora County, Besnik Dervishi, gave explanations to prosecutors from the Serious Crimes Prosecution Office regarding the discovery of an amount of explosive in his car, which was found as he was entering the grounds outside the Prime Minister's Office to park. The former minister in the “Nano” government, throughout his testimony, claimed that the attack against him may be linked to his current post as Prefect of Vlora. Prosecutors handling the case are extremely reserved, considering the investigation “top secret.” Mr. Dervishi himself, contacted by phone by “GSH,” refused to give details, asking for understanding in such a situation. The Prefect of Vlora County is under police protection; in fact, even when he left the Prosecutor's Office premises, he was accompanied by at least five Guard officers.
