After the news that Greece will reopen military posts to monitor the Greek-Albanian border, there have been many opinions about the decision and its impact on stability between the two countries. In an interview for “Gazeta Shqiptare”, the Albanian ambassador to Greece, Dashnor Dervishi, clarified the truth about the Greek troops at the border, the relations between the two countries, and how much the latest developments will affect the preservation of stability with the neighboring state. What is the truth about the Greek soldiers stationed on the border with Albania? It is a military exercise being carried out by the Greek army, within the framework of its military programs. In Albanian public opinion, the presence of Greek soldiers on the border with Albania has not been received very well. What can you say about this? The Albanian state or Albanian public opinion may not like many things, but every state has its own programs, laws and rules, as well as planned military exercises. ...
