Odeta Nishani, the wife of the President of the Republic, has for several days been the target of attacks by the Socialist Party, and the reason is the land on which the Democratic Party’s central headquarters currently stands. But for “Gazeta Shqiptare”, the First Lady of the country says that her family has no connection whatsoever with the ownership of the PD headquarters, describing the latest ruling majority’s actions toward the President’s institution as low-level slander, pressure, threats, and blackmail. Mrs. Nishani has decided to wait another two weeks, leaving all these fabrications in the hands of the left-wing government to investigate, convinced that in the end they will apologize for the accusations made against her family. Odeta Nishani says she expects anything from those people, even her removal from her job as soon as they come to power. Mrs. Nishani, how did you feel facing accusations from some Socialist Party deputies that the land of the current PD headquarters belongs to your family? I was surprised. I was astonished when I saw in the newspapers accusations by left-wing deputies Erjon Braçe and Pirro Lutaj, claiming that the land on which the PD headquarters was built supposedly belongs to my family.
