Meta: The PD-LSI alliance worked better than I thought By VALENTINA MADANI Last night the Assembly approved the candidacy of the Deputy Minister of Defense, Zana Xhuka, as chair of the High Inspectorate for the Declaration and Audit of Assets. In the first session of the new parliamentary term, parliament approved Zana Xhuka as head of ILDKP with 70 votes in favor and 67 against. Earlier, at the PD parliamentary group meeting, without the presence of the media, Prime Minister Berisha asked the deputies to vote unanimously for Mrs. Xhuka’s candidacy, which he described as complete and professional. But the MPs of the Socialist Movement for Integration voted against Xhuka. One of the LSI MPs, Mr. Nasip Naço, stated in a comment for “Gazeta Shqiptare” that the vote against was due to the fact that Mrs. Xhuka did not meet the legal criteria, while the preferred name for LSI was the other candidate, Mr. Ganaj.
