Debts from the 8 May 2011 campaign, 1 million lek just for plane tickets By DARINA TANUSHI The Socialist Party is about 26 million new lek in debt (a little less than 200 thousand euros), which remain unpaid since the elections of 8 May 2011. In the financial report for 2012, submitted to the Central Election Commission, PS urgently requests the opening of state budget funds for 2013, in order to cover the campaign expenses that are approaching. PS still owes the media money from the 8 May 2011 campaign; then the debt continues with telephone expenses for the months of September-November, subscriptions to the printed press, production of membership cards, but exactly 10 million old lek are owed for airline tickets. And so, as an opposition party, PS, unlike PD, has not been able to build assets, but has spent more. During the past year, donors have put around 16 and a half million lek into the party’s budget.
