Berisha: 41% of members voted
Vote counting begins at the “Palace of Congresses”. Basha: We know how to defend the values of democracy. Olldashi: I wish success to all rival candidates

Prime Minister Sali Berisha yesterday called on PS leader Edi Rama to stay away from the vote-counting process, in the interest of transparency. Otherwise, he warned, the PD will not recognize any power that emerges from stolen votes. From the Democratic Party headquarters, where he voted for his successor in the PD, Berisha made it clear to Mr. Rama that he is making a fatal mistake if he blocks the vote-counting process. “Do not make the fatal mistake of blocking the counting of votes! Sali Berisha has recognized the result that was initially announced. Sali Berisha will recognize any result that comes from the honest counting of votes. Let him know well that he will never enjoy power that comes from the falsification and deception of the vote. He can never be prime minister, representing Albania in Albania, in Europe and in the world with a sack of stolen votes. The call is one and only one: Let every vote be counted and I will absolutely respect equally both the one that is in favor and the one that is against.”
