Bamir Topi: It is incomprehensible for parliament to meet only for the “3 laws” and not for the CEC The U.S. ambassador in Tirana, Aleksandër Arvizu, hopes that the political parties will make use of the opportunity of Parliament meeting on Monday, whether to vote on the three laws or on the situation in the CEC. “Today is the first day of the campaign, but it seems it has already begun. We have been very clear about the U.S. position, about the solution and the CEC. I have heard that a parliamentary session will be held on Monday. So this is a good opportunity both for the three laws and for discussing the CEC, and I hope the parties will take advantage of this opportunity,” the ambassador said in response to journalists’ questions, as he had a message for the first day of the election campaign. Arvizu made these statements after a visit to the Constitutional Court, where he met the head of the institution, Bashkim Dedja. Two days earlier, Ambassador Arvizu described the CEC issue as very problematic. He said the parties should have discussed it.
