The elected prime minister,
Edi Rama yesterday published
the new structure of the gov-
ernment cabinet, with 16 min-
istries, one deputy prime min-
ister who will not hold any
other ministerial post, as well
as 3 ministers of state, with-
out portfolio. After wide con-
sultations, not only with the
main ally, the head of the LSI,
Ilir Meta, but also with models
of foreign governments, Rama
said yesterday, before the me-
dia: “It is a structure that has
been built on the basis of a de-
tailed analysis of the existing
structure and of all the branches
of the existing structure, which
from our point of view consti-
tute a very parasitic body from
within and require a drastic cut.”
According to him, “the govern-
ing structure has been built on
the basis of priorities, but also
of some very important needs
that this country has.”
The prime minister announced
a drastic reduction of structu-
ral reforms starting from the
Prime Minister’s Office build-
ing, where there will be a sig-
nificant reduction of this or-
ganic structure. “A new and
