The report sent to Parliament contains verified facts from field inspections By KLODIANA LALA The Prosecutorial Council has accused the Ministry of Justice of sending Parliament a report that is biased against the prosecution body. The Council’s harsh reaction came after an emergency meeting in which the report was reviewed; in it, the Justice Ministry lists all the serious violations committed by prosecutors and accuses the head of the prosecution service, Ina Rama, of violating the Constitution and the laws. The Council, an advisory body within the prosecution composed of seven members, one representative of the president, one from the Ministry of Justice, and five other members who are prosecutors, stressed that the report violates the independence of the prosecution institution, does not reflect reality, and aims to damage the prosecution’s image.
