A 31-year-old taxi driver was taken hostage by a man his own age and brutally assaulted. For one hour, Isa Xhumani (father of a minor child) endured hell in the home of Sabri Veterniku. The taxi driver was hit on the head with a crowbar, tied up hand and foot, and one ear was cut off. Official sources from the Durrës County Police Directorate say the serious incident happened yesterday afternoon, around 3:30 p.m., in a building for former political persecuted persons. It is understood that the aggressor, Veterniku, after leaving his “donkey” unconscious, stole his wallet with money, personal belongings, and locked him with a key inside the apartment where he lived (on the second floor of the building). Meanwhile, he also took the victim’s car and left with a woman whose identity is not disclosed. After regaining consciousness, Isa Xhumani managed to free himself and asked for help...
