AKKP report revealed: the fund set aside for owners was not distributed PROPERTY COMPENSATION 5 million USD less for legalizations Of 1.6 billion lek, only 1.1 billion was given to the landowners whose land benefited from legalization of informal constructions. For 2014 the government set aside 1.3 billion lek for the compensation process By LORENC RABETA Last year the Agency for Restitution and Compensation of Property failed to fully distribute the 16 million dollar fund in favor of owners affected by informal constructions. According to AKKP reporting to the Ministry of Justice, during 2013 only 1.1 billion lek (around 11 million dollars) of the 1.6 billion (around 16 million dollars) set in the state budget for this purpose were distributed. The data come through the AKKP monitoring report for 2013, which analyzes the expenditure items of the Agency for Restitution and Compensation of Property as well as a series of other indicators. 1.9 billion lek The total amount that the Agency for Restitution and Compensation of Property would have available for 2013 was 1.9 billion lek, approximately 19 million dollars.
